BDH art directed this two part, award winning documentary series for Channel 4 and Testimony Films. The survivors’ deeply moving recollections were supported by a sympathetic combination of stills, CGI and filmed reconstruction supplied by BDH.
The blast killed most of the people around the few survivors, but remarkably they were spared death because of their positioning in the packed train. A few walked out virtually unscathed, while others were seriously injured, some losing their limbs. Whilst waiting for the emergency services to arrive injured passengers improvised remarkable lifesaving methods on themselves and others.
The second film, The Angels of Edgware Road, is the story of the heroic actions of people caught up in the Edgware Road tube disaster and features an emotional reunion as the climax to the film.
