BDH Immersive and Bristol University were invited to showcase SECRETS OF BRAIN HEALTH VR at 2018 New Scientist Live Expo in London by The Alan Turing Institute.

The data visualisation project is a pioneering collaboration between BDH Immersive and the University of Bristol, the Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CRIC) and the Jean Golding Institute.

Secrets of Brain Health uses MRI scans in immersive virtual reality to illustrate the latest findings in neuroimaging research. Academics at the Clinical Research & Imaging Centre are addressing challenges in neuroscience from the impact of preterm birth on brain development to dementia in aging population.

The VR data visualisation tells the story of how the brain develops and matures, how complex neural networks are formed throughout our lifespan. Audiences discover how learning to play a musical instrument or aerobic exercise can form new neural pathways or even increase brain volume to help your brain stay healthy for longer.
