VR vs Gangs
Channel 4 News Documentary
"London is not the only city trying to tackle a surge in violent crime. There’s been a sharp increase in knife-related offences in the West Midlands, where deaths among young people are at their highest for 40 years. But there are some radical new approaches to the problem. We’ve been to see a new interactive virtual reality experience, launched by a Birmingham-based theatre company, designed to help young people explore issues like knife crime, drugs, and gangs and learn from the decisions they make." R+J Productions for Channel 4
VR vs Gangs on Channel 4 features interviews with the makers and the actors of the interactive VR drama. Revealing the thoughts and reactions of young people, educational professionals and the Chief Crime Commissioner, West Midlands. Trying VIRTUAL DECISIONS for the first time.
See more about VIRTUAL DECISIONS here. The script is based on the testimony of over 1000 young people making the experience as realistic and authentic as possible.
"There's a few times I thought... hang on a minute. This is quite real. This is really powerful in the classroom. The acting is superb.”
